Andre' James is a native of Beaumont, Texas and one of Houston's most diverse male vocalists. He credits his mother, Esther Seastrunk-Mc Clain for being instrumental in embracing his love of music by exposing him, at an early age, to her eclectic collection of music. While attending Texas Southern University, he became a highly sought after session singer & background vocalist, which affored him opportunities to tour in Japan & Korea.

Andre' has recorded, performed, sung background, & shared the stage with award winning artists such as Johnathon Butler, Yolanda Adams, Nancy Wilson, Beyonce', Fred Hammond, Kirk Whalum, Regina Belle, Al Jarreau, Kurt Carr, Boney James, Ollie Woodson, Kim Burrell, Dr. Bobby Jones, Miki Howard, Chante' Moore, John P. Kee, Ashford & Simpson, Richard Smallwood, Lalah Hathaway, Daryl Coley, Donald Lawrence, Mike Phillips, Gordon Chambers, Lyle Lovette, Marc Anthony, La Mafia, Vesta, Howard Hewitt, J.Moss, Roy Ayers, Eric Roberson, Anthony David, Kem, Faith Evans, Kyle Turner, Micahel Ward, Rhonda McLemore & Ros Brunswick-McDuffie (Lyric Sings), Chris Walker, Joe Sample, Peter White & and the list goes on.

In addition, Andre' has sung with the Disney Broadway production of "The Lion King", "Coffee-Colored Dreams" stage play, M.D. Anderson Cancer Foundation, Miss Black Texas Pageant, Sister Network for cancer survivors & in 2003, performed for President George Bush. Andre' continues to hone his craft as he serves as the music coordinator, host, & one of the headliners on the popular "Soul Sundays & Open Mic" here at the Red Cat Jazz Cafe'.
