Vocalist

Mary Griffin
In each generation a voice comes along which embodies classic beauty, defining poise and soul stirring ability. Mary Griffin raised in the deep southern bayous of Louisiana, first heard melodies that were enchanting and inspiring in her father's small country church. Outside of the church however it was steamy rythm and blues along with soul that Mary imitated. Through these vices she picked up the soulfulness of gospel and the edgy blues vocals that gave her local fame in Louisiana. Griffin's voice also opened doors of education in her favor and she attened Grambling State University- majoring in perfomance on full music scholarships.

After attending college Mary moved to New Orleans to pursue her career as a solo artist. Her overwhelming stage presence and seductive vocals landed her regular venues around the city. With a voice comprable to a fine mosaic of Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner, Mary established her self as a leading artist in the birth place of Jazz and Blues. As her acclaim for her rose in the Cresent City so did her reputation within the music industry.

Not long after moving to New Orleans Mary found her self accepting offers from various production companies to record music for upcoming films. The film Coyote Ugly and Driven featured hit songs that Griffin recorded including the song "Perfect Moment." In addition to recording songs for films Mary had a cameo in the film Studio 54 and recorded the track entitled "Knock on Wood." There after Griffin was signed to Curb records and released the internationally acclaimed album "Purified." It was from the is album that divas Patty Labelle and Celine Dion were captivated by Mary's voice. She has toured with Patti Labelle and is currently a headliner at the Red Cat Jazz cafe on Saturdays.
